Lloyd Flanders furniture was founded in 1906 in Menominee, Michigan. Over a hundred years later Lloyd Flanders all weather wicker patio furniture is still being manufactured in the same facility. The company has a long history with loom furniture. In 1916 they created the process for weaving wicker. In 1917 they patented the Lloyd Loom and the weaving process. In 1982 Don and Dudley Flanders would buy the company and create the company that exists today. Their classic furnishings can be found in historical homes, television and even film.

Lloyd Flanders aluminum patio furniture is just as durable and weather withstanding as the wicker. Both have been built durably to withstand the outdoor elements. The wicker furnishings use a twisted cellulose fiber that makes a cord that is woven with the Lloyd Loom process. Another process unique to the company is the use of aluminum fabric stakes. These stakes are woven vertically into the fabric to increase stability as well as durability. The process is used in the tables, chairs, love seats, couches, sectionals, benches, and chaise lounges.
